Haubold is an owner-managed family business in its fifth generation. For more than 130 years we have printed things of value in Eschwege – and today we are one of the few security printers in Europe certified to the Intergraf standard ISO 14298.
Short decision paths, a well-rehearsed team and machinery we invest in continuously: as a mid-sized company we combine the flexibility of a family business with processes at the level of international security printers. Transport associations, ticketing platforms, promoters, authorities and brand owners from around 30 countries rely on it.

At Haubold every production step stays in-house and inside the certified security environment. That makes us fast, flexible – and secure.
Printing
Web offset with up to ten colours, flexographic printing, digital printing, iris printing and security inks up to UV and thermochromic inks.
Finishing
Hologram application, one- and two-colour foil embossing and multi-level blind embossing with a tactile 3D effect.
Numbering & coding
Consecutive numbers, barcodes, QR and 2D codes – visible or only under UV light, fully documented.
Converting
Rolls, fan-fold, control punches and perforations for all common ticket and transport ticket printers.
Security logistics
Monitored security warehouse, ticket distribution for major customers and on-time dispatch.

Relief & latent image
Fine lines whose course carries a hidden motif. It only emerges in raking light – and disappears on a copier.
Used for: Transport tickets, admission tickets, certificates02
Guilloche rosette
Hundreds of interwoven lines, mathematically calculated. The slightest deviation in a reprint visibly breaks the pattern.
Used for: Certificates, vouchers, banknote design03
Iris printing
Seamless colour transitions from a single printing plate – no screen, no edges. Impossible to reproduce on office printers.
Used for: Security backgrounds, tokens04
Microtext
Lettering under 0.2 mm high: a line to the naked eye, legible under a loupe. Copies blur it.
Used for: Borders, lines, signature fields05
Raised embossing
A steel die permanently shapes the paper in three dimensions. The relief can be felt with the fingertips and casts real shadows in the light – no copier can reproduce it.
Used for: Admission tickets, certificates, seals06
Hot foil stamping
Metallic foils in gold, silver, copper or iridescent finishes are applied with pressure and heat – multicoloured within one motif, too. The shine moves with the viewing angle.

Watermark paper
The motif is created during papermaking through varying fibre density. Held against the light, bright and dark tones appear – impossible to copy or print on afterwards.

UV fluorescence
Invisible fibres and inks that only glow under UV light – fast authentication at every checkpoint.
Used for: Tickets, security paper, labels09
See-through register
Front and back each carry one half of the motif, printed in perfect register. Only against the light do the two halves complete the full mark. A copier only ever gets one side exactly right.

Optically variable ink
Pigments that change colour with the viewing angle: gold when seen straight on, green when tilted back. Neither scanners nor colour copiers can reproduce the effect.

Security background
Designed by a dedicated algorithm – unique because of its complexity. The fine lines cannot be reproduced with conventional printers. Under UV light the background also fluoresces.

A clean police certificate, annual review and a confidentiality agreement are prerequisites.

Every sheet, every roll, every number is recorded – including waste, which is destroyed in our own shredder.
