Counterfeit protection
Tickets and transport passes are value-bearing printed matter that is increasingly subject to counterfeiting and manipulation. Protection against these criminal acts is provided by a variety of security elements that can be placed in the paper, in the ink, in or on the ticket. Depending on the threat level, tickets and passes can be made as counterfeit-proof as banknotes.

Frequently used security elements
- Holograms as continuous stripes or single images
- Foil applications
- Copy-protection ink
- Guilloches
- Reactive inks, e.g. pen-reactive colour, thermochromic inks, reagent ink
- Blind and gloss foil embossing
- Numbering
- Barcoding
- Invisible inks
- Microtext
- Security papers with watermarks, security fibres, coloured inlays
Overt, covert, forensic
Overt features such as holograms are checked by every inspector with the naked eye. Covert features such as UV inks or microtext need a tool. Forensic features are known only to specially trained persons. We combine all three levels to suit your threat scenario.
