Small format, big impact: tickets for Mainau Island

There is no single standard format for admission tickets – every application has its own requirements. For Mainau, the flower island in Lake Constance, we produced thermal admission tickets measuring 54 mm × 3.375 inches: made for BOCA printers, with corner perforation for easy tearing and printed in full colour on both sides.

Compact or larger, plain or individually designed – we find the right format for your application.

Multi-level blind embossing: finishing you can feel

Multi-level blind embossing: finishing you can feel

Besides choosing the right paper, finishing offers countless ways to turn tickets into real eye-catchers. A special technique is multi-level blind embossing: different heights and levels create a tactile 3D effect, and the interplay of light and shadow gives the motif depth and a refined look.

It is particularly impressive on motifs with fine details and structures – visually and to the touch.

Logo hologram for the Meeresaquarium Zella-Mehlis

For the Meeresaquarium Zella-Mehlis adventure park we produced thermal tickets measuring 6″ × 82 mm with control punch for Citizen printers. A special step in finishing: applying the logo hologram to the front.

The hologram is both an eye-catcher and an additional security feature. We are happy to advise you on hologram applications for your ticket and printer system.

From anniversary ticket to fan favourite

For the 70th anniversary of our ice hockey customer from Finland we created a special ticket: the club crest was finished with high-precision two-colour foil in blue and orange, while a blue hologram with an ice-crystal effect added a striking highlight.

The response was so positive that the two-colour foil embossing continues to be used – an anniversary moment has become a permanent part of the ticket design.

HAUBOLD at PERSPEKTIVEN 2026

At the PERSPEKTIVEN 2026 careers and education fair in Eschwege, our graphic designer Meike Rösing and our apprentice Lennart Gries, in his third year as a media technologist in printing, presented our training and career opportunities. As a former pupil, Lennart was even interviewed on site about his path.

Many thanks to everyone who visited our stand!

Security that only appears under UV light

Security that only appears under UV light

Security features do not have to be visible at first glance – invisible features in particular offer additional protection against counterfeiting and manipulation. Examples include mottled fibres, watermarks and invisible fluorescent inks that become visible under a UV lamp from approx. 365 nm.

Documents, certificates and value and security prints can thus be equipped with individual features. We are happy to advise you on the right invisible features for your product.

MSV Duisburg: from ticket to parking permit

Our cooperation with MSV Duisburg goes back many decades – a look into our archive even turned up historic tickets and parking permits. Printing has changed, the quality has remained.

Today we produce thermal tickets, admission tickets, PVC cards, accreditation cards and parking permits for MSV – with holograms or perforations depending on the product. Thank you for many years of trust!

Press coverage of Haubold

An in-depth article about our work as a security printer was published at the weekend. Enjoy reading.

More wellbeing at work – massage chairs at Haubold

The wellbeing of our employees is close to our hearts. That is why we recently purchased two new massage chairs for our team – an opportunity to use short breaks consciously for relaxation, to release tension and recharge.

With this investment we want not only to increase comfort at work, but also to show how much we value the commitment of our team.

Haubold invests in new security design software

We have expanded our security design portfolio with an innovative feature: covert security features in the form of invisible microtext in halftone areas. With this technology we embed hidden information directly into the halftone structure of a design. To the naked eye the area looks completely normal – under a loupe or digital microscope small texts or image elements become visible.

This opens up new possibilities for counterfeit-proof documents, tickets or ID cards – without any visible intervention in the design. A first project in transport ticket design has already been implemented.

Haubold company films from times gone by

For all former employees and anyone interested: the historic company films show how Haubold printed, numbered and packed decades ago. Enjoy watching!

Haubold recertified as a security printer to ISO 14298

Great joy at Haubold! We have once again passed the milestone – certification as an Intergraf security printer – with great success. Under the new revision the process is at an unprecedented level and demanded everything from us. We are proud and sincerely thank everyone involved.

Haubold stands for open-mindedness, tolerance and diversity

Our company is located only a few kilometres from the Thuringian state border. We are watching the rise of anti-democratic groups with concern. As a family business that has employed people from many countries since 1893 and delivers to 29 countries, we stand for open-mindedness, tolerance and diversity.

Let’s talk.

We advise you personally on security features, materials and processes – and will gladly send you our brochure with original samples.
